Coupon Mania!!

Thanks to Michelle, I have started couponing!!! It can be a headache at times but is a BIG money saver! Especially when you save your coupons for when the item is on sale. I have started going to Publix on Monday mornings for the penny item. I did very well this morning with my shopping and savings. This is what I got:

1. loaf of bread
2. 18 lg eggs
3. 2-ny texas toast (free) b1g1 free I had 2 coupons/plus 2 a peelie Q's on the box!
4. 2-zatarain's red beans and rice for .62 cents a box (b1g1 free w/ .75 Q.)
5. 4- 64 oz juicy juice b1g1 free and 2-1.00 of Q's (4.98 total - retail is 3.60 a piece)
6. vlasic pickles lg. jar (1.89- 1.00 Q)
7. publix brand tortilla chips - .1 cent (special Q in ad good for 2 days only) reg-3.19
8. gold fish crackers 1.19 w/ 1.00 Q
9. 2- pillsbury refrigerated cookies (reg 2.89) used 2- .40 Q's which they doubled. Plus a 1.00 off Q
10. mayonaise - no deal and had to have!
11. hillshire farm premium honey ham- had a 1.00 Q + a .55 Q.-paid 1.95
12. 3-pillsbury golden layer biscuits- .80 cents had several Q's that would stack (reg-1.39 each)
13. 4- green giant frozen veggies on sale for 1.00 each- I had 2-1.00 of Q's and 2-.40 cent off Q's which they doubled! 2 of them were absolutley Free!
14. 1 pillsbury frozen dinner rolls- reg 3.39 had a .50 cent peelie and a 1.00 Q
15. 4- progresso soups ( lg. cans) for less than a dollar each. On special 4 for 5.00, and I had a 1.00 Q + .50 Q.
16. 1 - lg. can publix brand diced tomatoes reg price 1.19 no sale:(

My total bill was 34.03 and I saved 44.20!!!! It is wonderful when your savings total is more than your actual bill. As you can see I wasn't stock piling or anything just normal grocery shopping. I make my grocery list and then find coupons to match the items that I need. It is also great that publix takes other competitors coupons, such as target and walgreens, and they always double coupons less than .50 cents. I used to think their prices were too high wouldn't go there but now with coupons they are my favorite grocery store. Just thought I would share and I hope everyone gives coupons a try! I almost forgot I also had a 5.00 off of a 30.00 purchase coupon that came in the mail!!
