Here we are at the Bass Pro Shop visiting with the Easter bunny! I was a mean mommy and forced Emily to get in the picture even if it meant I had to be in it. The girls decorated an easter egg craft and participated in an egg hunt.

Here is Anna's pre-school class plus one extra! They made these cute t-shirts with thier foot prints as the bunny's body.

They decorated these "scratchy eggs" you scratch them with a pointed piece of wood and it makes a rainbow color design. Anna also made her bracelet and each color bead symbolizes the true meaning of Easter.

Emily enjoyed doing this also.

Here is another Easter bunny that visited the children at school. I couldn't talk Emily into getting her picture made. She was too busy bouncing in the moon bounce. I failed to get pictures of her bouncing because I was in line with Anna for this.

Anna found many candy filed eggs!

This was Emily's favorite egg!

This game was a hit! The object was to keep the eggs moving but not to let them fall off!

Hoola-hooping fun!

Emily staring out at the play ground daydreaming of playing during story time.

This is one of many tea parties that we had. This one was held in their soon-to-be doll house that Granny had built for them. We are waiting for the house to be finished so they can sleep and play out there when we visit. They are so excited about thier 2 story doll house and I know they will enjoy it more when it is done!

Cheers!!! Not sure if you do this at a real tea party!

A spot of tea for Anna and several lumps of sugar!!
Notice the fresh picked flower arrangements in the window and on the mantle. These are compliments of Anna, Emily and Granny.

Full of tea and taking a break!

Our beautiful decorated eggs!

Let's add one more thing!

If you look in the sky you will see several balloons that the children let go! They did this as a symbol of how our soul will ascend to heaven when God returns. Anna asked me at bedtime if God had gotten her balloon yet. So we had a long discussion and I think she finally understands.

Anna hunting some well hidden eggs!

They played several games and this was one. To see who could pop all the balloons the quickest.

Emily found an egg!

They sang songs for the children. This was a last minute idea that Bro. Maust had but it went well. They sang I've got joy down in my heart, and Jesus loves me. Good job girls!!

Balance the egg on the spoon race.
I failed to get pictures of the girls in their Easter dresses or with their Easter baskets filled with goodies. The reason I wasn't able to get pictures of them in their dresses is because Emily got sick at church and vomited all down the front of her dress. She is fine and started feeling better right away. I believe she got sick because of candy on an empty stomach! I want to thank Shonna for the resurrection egg idea. The girls have so enjoyed them and learned alot too! I hope everyone had a safe and Happy Easter!!
Those are the neatest games that you all played and sooo many!! The girls are just adorable. What in the world are you going to do if you have a boy?! They are all GIRL!! LOL Love the tea party!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you all had a busy time also. Glad Emily made a quick recovery. Hope you and the little one are still doing great.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! What a playhouse!!! Even though I grew up with three brothers, I still had time for a tea party with my baby brother, TJ--only b/c I MADE him. Don't worry, he didn't grow up to be girlie AT ALL so there's hope if you have a little boy. :) He (or She) will be Anna and Emily's little dress-up doll.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have been there! Love you Sissy
