Here's my creation, they don't look exactly like Paula
Deen's though! Maybe if I would not have tried to take short cuts they would have. The good thing is they taste pretty good! I decided that I wasn't going to use pie weights, don't really know what they are. I just rolled out my pie crust and placed it in the pan. Well when I baked it the thing shrunk, so there you go a
crustless pie. Also those little white specks is cream cheese that didn't mix in too well, because I didn't mix it and the butter first. I just put everything in the bowl at once. You live and you learn!!!

Emily is starting a new fashion, polka dots and stripes!!

While I was busy with my pies the girls had fun using the egg whites that I didn't need. They made forgotten cookies(at least that what granny calls them) it is pretty much a merange mix that you dip with a spoon to make little cookies. Not very good in my opinion! They liked them okay! The most important part was the fun they had mixing them up and licking the bowl clean!
It looks like the girls had a blast. I made a chiffon pie one time, and like you I just put everthing together. Guess what I had those little sour cream spots to. I'm by far Rachel Ray or Paula Dean LOL:)
ReplyDeleteI'm still really impressed!! I think you have to make something once or twice to work all the kinks out!! I'm more of a Bobby Flay and Tyler Florence girl myself, but you did a much better job than I could have so don't worry about Paula Dean!! LOL
ReplyDeleteAlso, doesn't matter if the cookies were good - just the FUN of it all!!
